Isn't it? Building a super cool habit takes years, but breaking it takes a few days only. It sounds like becoming positive isn't so easy; you have to build yourself first. Sometimes, it's a really painful journey. But on the other hand, going for negativity, it just takes a few days only.
Things come so hard but go easy. I take it as a bucket of water. We have to collect a single drop to make it full of water, to fill that bucket. But it takes just a small hole to empty the whole bucket.
So before starting anything, I am not much concerned about the drops we are collecting; I am much more concerned about the hole that we never see in our lives.
We are being told by big people that don't focus on savings, right? I have read many articles that claim to focus on earning potential. I am not against those things, but think: what's the benefit of earning more when you don't know where the hole is and it's going to make your life bucket empty?
Yeah, I spend my best effort and energy initially, not on earning more, but on the other hand, on how can I fix the holes in my life so that later, when my earning potential will increase, those are going to stay with me for at least a while.
When assets stay with you, you give them time, and then the compounding magic starts. Nowadays, it's like we are earning, but we have not closed those holes. It's like, earn by yourself but pay as EMI to someone else.
So that's why I am a bit against the strategy of just earning more. It should combine together: how to earn more and then efficiently make the system better so that we save more, and yeah, later compound more.
Magic happens like this only. I am one of them; I saw it many times. Just give your best shot and see what you got.
